The Variable Speed Principle of Gear Transmission

Author:

The transmission principle of a gear gearbox is the principle of variable speed and torque conversion, which utilizes the meshing transmission of gears with different numbers of teeth to achieve changes in torque and speed; The principle of direction change is achieved by adding a primary gear transmission pair to achieve reverse gear. When a two shaft transmission is in forward gear, power is transmitted from the input shaft to the output shaft, only through a pair of gears, and the rotation directions of the two shafts are opposite. When shifting in reverse, power is transmitted from the input shaft to the reverse shaft, and then from the reverse shaft to the output shaft. Through two pairs of gears, the input shaft and output shaft rotate in the same direction.
The correct operation method for the transmission is as follows:
1. Slightly increase the throttle. Before shifting (upshifting), turn the throttle to increase the throttle. By adding a certain amount of oil, the engine is equipped with sufficient power to ensure that the speed does not decrease during the upshifting process;
2. Turn off the throttle. After a little refueling, quickly turn off the throttle, that is, use your right hand to turn the throttle knob forward and down one full turn;
3. Quickly grip the clutch grip. Almost at the same time as closing the throttle, grip the clutch grip with four fingers of your left hand (still holding your thumb on the steering handle) to the bottom, and quickly release the clutch to prepare for shifting;
4. Press the foot shift lever. After holding the clutch grip with your left hand, immediately use your left foot or heel to step on the gear change lever and shift to the high speed gear. The strength of the pedal should be just right, the movements should be clean and neat, and it is not allowed to drag or pedal continuously;
5. Evenly loosen the clutch grip. After stepping down the gear lever with the left heel, the left hand immediately releases the clutch grip and smoothly engages the disengaged clutch in a timely manner, allowing the engine power to be quickly transmitted to the rear transmission, preparing for increasing the vehicle's driving speed;
6. Increase the throttle. After releasing the clutch grip with the left hand, turn the throttle knob with the right hand downward and backward in a timely manner to open the closed throttle, with a moderate opening and not too large or too strong.
